Salary: £46,783 – £53,048 (dependent on grade and experience)

Contract: Permanent

Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with Bracknell Forest Council to recruit Social Workers and Senior Social Workers to join their Safeguarding Teams within Children's Social Care.

Bracknell Forest is a small, well-connected authority where social workers are known by name rather than by number, and where leadership visibility and manageable caseloads are treated as the foundation of good practice. This is a strong opportunity for a safeguarding practitioner who wants to do purposeful, relationship-based work with children and families.

The Role

As a Social Worker or Senior Social Worker within the Safeguarding Team, you will:

Manage a caseload of children subject to child in need and child protection plans, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.

Complete high-quality, strengths-based assessments that clearly analyse risk, need, and protective factors.

Build purposeful and trusting relationships with children, young people, and families to support lasting change.

Develop and review robust safety and support plans alongside families and partner agencies.

Prepare clear, analytical reports for conferences, reviews, and court where required.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to reduce risk and promote family resilience.

About You

You will be a committed and capable practitioner with:

A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.

Post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care, ideally in safeguarding or child protection.

Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Confidence working with complexity, risk, and multi-agency partners.

A clear commitment to relationship-based and strengths-led practice.

For the Senior Social Worker post, the experience to hold more complex work and to support, mentor and quality assure the practice of less experienced colleagues.

Why Bracknell Forest Council?

A £6,000 Golden Hello alongside a competitive salary, rising to £7,000 for Senior Social Workers.

A small, supportive authority with visible and accessible leadership.

Manageable caseloads with a focus on quality and purposeful social work.

Excellent training, development, and a clear progression route from Social Worker through to Senior Social Worker.

Hybrid working arrangements and a genuine commitment to work–life balance.
